UC Server Third Party PBX Integration Notes
A Dialogic® Media Gateway will be required when integrating a third party PBX with the NetVanta Unified Communications System. It should be noted that the PBX may need to meet certain minimum hardware and software requirements in order to support the integration method selected. See the attached matrix for integration notes pertaining to your PBX model and selected integration method. There are many PBX models that have been tested and approved for use with the Dialogic® Media Gateways but a specific configuration guide may not have been written by ADTRAN or Dialogic®. Sometimes these guides exist on the PBX manufacturer’s web site or are very similar to existing Dialogic® guides for other PBX models.
Please note that ADTRAN Technical Support and ACES Engineers will NOT make system changes to a customer’s PBX. At the time of install a PBX technician must be present or accessible by ADTRAN engineers to perform the necessary PBX programming. It is the customer’s responsibility to schedule any required technicians and insure the PBX meets the minimum requirements for operation with a Dialogic® Media Gateway.
