TA624 support for 220v AC power

The Total Access 624 documentation says: "Power to the Total Access 6xx (T1 TDM) must be from a grounded 90-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz source." Can someone confirm if the TA624 will work with 220v AC? Thank you!

Re: TA624 support for 220v AC power

Hello Jonathan,

Thank you for posting to our forum.  The TA 6XX series is auto ranging for AC power and will accept 90-250Vac at 50/60Hz,

Page 33 of the TA 6XX User Manual has the AC Power information - https://supportforums.adtran.com/docs/DOC-3358.

Feel free to use this document to reference any other specification.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Geoff

Re: TA624 support for 220v AC power

Geoff,

Thank you. I have conflicting information. I received two new TA 624's and they have labels on the bottom of the units that say "90-120VAC, 60Hz 1.3A." The Quick Start Guide, https://supportforums.adtran.com/docs/DOC-3307, agrees with you and page 33 of the User Guide. But the 3rd Gen Product Information document, https://supportforums.adtran.com/docs/DOC-3244, agrees more or less with the label on the units: "Auto-ranging Power: 90–130 VAC."

Also, in the User Manual that you refer to on page 40 it says: "Power to the Total Access 600 Series AC system must be from a grounded 90-130 VAC, 50/60 Hz source." So even the User Manual is contradictory.

I need to use 220VAC but in spite of the Adtran documentation and engineer's opinions it looks like the device does not support it. Am I missing something? Is there a 220VAC model?

Re: TA624 support for 220v AC power

Hello Jonathon,

I was able to get a final answer.  There was never a released version of TA600s that supported the international voltages. It was part of the original design specification as these were being designed, but as it got closer to release, the international power supply was changed to a domestic power supply.

Thus, no released TA600 ever had a 220VAC capability.

However, because it was in the original plan, it had made its way into some of the documentation.

Best Regards,

Geoff
