Top website reports to file?

Jump to solution

Hello,

We have enable the feature that logs Top Websites through URL filters in the 3430. However, we would like to download or somehow pipe those reports to a file so we can do data analysis on it. We are unable to use the email report forwarding at this time due to certain configuration issues with our network independent of the 3430. So is there a way to dump this information into a file or even forward it through syslog?

Thanks.

Thank you for asking this question in the support community.  The Configuring Integrated Traffic Monitoring (ITM) in AOS guide explains how to export this data to an external server.  ITM is a method of tracking traffic flow patterns across interfaces on a router. ITM can monitor traffic flows over both ingress (incoming) and egress (outgoing) interfaces. The traffic flow data is collected and sent using Netflow 9 (RFC 768) over User Datagram Protocol (UDP) to either an external data collector or through the internal Top Traffic data collector, analyzing the traffic flow patterns and presenting the information in an intuitive graphic form.

I hope that makes sense, but please do not hesitate to reply to this post with any additional questions.  I will be happy to help in any way I can.

Would copy/paste be good enough? Or maybe scrubbing the html code in the webpage?

Hi Levi,

Thanks for the information. I have not had a chance to get back to the site where the 3430 is but after reading the document it does appear like it will provide what we are looking for. I will give it a try as soon as I can and report back with any update.

Thanks!
