Blind Transfer on TA9XX

I am using a TA908 to deliver POTS service to one of our customers.  The TA908 is fed via a SIP trunk, and then is delivered to the customer via the analog FXS ports on the TA908.  I need to be able to do a blind (unassisted) transfer, but cannot seem to get the TA to do it.  I can do an assisted transfer in that while I am on  a call, I can do a flash-hook, call the other party, and then once they answer hang up an the call completes/transfers.  What I need to be able to do, is do a flash-hook, call the 2nd party, and then hang up and let the call transfer that way.  How do I go about doing that?

Re: Blind Transfer on TA9XX

Jkesting,

Thanks for posting!  It looks like you may have been working on this issue through Adtran Technical Support.  We were seeing that the Nortel appeared to be hanging up the call on the blind transfer.  If you would like to continue working on this, feel free to call us at 888-423-8726.  Also, feel free to respond on this post with any updates you may have.

Thanks!

Re: Blind Transfer on TA9XX

I cannot find anything that can be changed on our DMS-10 that would enable this feature.  I am hoping that something can be implemented on the TA9XX to accomplish this.  Perhaps a firmware upgrade?  Currently running at 10.3.

Re: Blind Transfer on TA9XX

Jkesting,

There is not going to be a feature in new firmware that can ignore the Nortel hanging up the call.  Have you been able to determine, through logs on the Nortel or documentation on the Nortel, why it is hanging up the call?  This seems to be where where the issue resides at this point.  If you are no longer seeing this hangup on the Nortel side, we should probably revisit this issue and get another debug of the call from the Adtran unit.

Thanks!

Jkesting,

I'm going to go ahead and mark this as assumed answered.  However, if you have any follow up questions, feel free to post them here.

Thanks,
