MWI on Ring Group Members

Jump to solution

Is there a way to have MWI trickle down to the Ring Group members if a Voice mail is left on the main Extension for that group?

Bryan,

Hope you’re doing well!

I assume what your trying to do is have the Ring Group members MWI light blink when there is a VM for the RG.

There is not a way to do that. The option that you can do is create a Status Group and add a Mailbox of the RG extension. Then add that Status Group to all the users in that Ring Group. Then when there is a voicemail for the RG, the light will blink on their phone next to the button of the Mailbox.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Fine thanks. We are moving into our 7100. Good Stuff!

How do I add that Status Group to all the users in that Ring Group?

Go to Voice > Stations > IP Phone Configs

Then you will have to edit each user’s phone config one at a time that is in that Ring Group. There is no mass assignment.

We covered this in class. If you still have your book, it is in Module 7 – IP PBX Application

Hope that helps.
