Customer wants to add a pre-login banner to HTTPS: connection for their 3140 routers. Bank Auditor has requested this be done.

How can I turn on Login Banner for Web GUI under HTTPS?   I see this for SSH or telnet and have turned that on.  However, this customer only uses HTTPS for the basic management they do on the box.

There's only the standard authentication box before the main screen pops up. To the best of my knowledge its text can't (easily*) be modified.

* I suppose one could run "strings" on the AOS executable and do some hex editing but this would likely screw up checksums, void warranties, maybe brick the box, and not persist through a firmware upgrade.

In my personal opinion, scary warning boxes are a total waste of time and electrons. Particularly in the case of a bank system, you don't want to tell the world of script kiddies that they're connected to a bank.

Ditto the ridiculous email disclaimers about "intended recipient", etc.
