Voicemail light will not come on.

Jump to solution

Hello

I am running Avaya 4610SW phones on a CallAttendant 3.2.10. I had a phone that the voicemail light would not turn off. I did a clear amw all <extension number> for the phone. NOw the light will not come on if there is a voicemail. Is there another command I need to run to get the light to come on?

Thanks

Stephen Keating

Stephen, I didn't realize there were versions so old that resync wasn't an option. At this point, I would recommend opening a ticket with support. This is going to require fairly heavy troubleshooting on the UC server side to confirm there are no issues there, and we're going to need remote access in order to do that. Thanks

Stephen, have you tried the "Resync Message Waiting" option in the UC client? What type of integration to your PBX are you using, Dialogic cards, Dialogic gateway, etc? Thanks

Hello Jay

I am using a Dialogic D/82JCT-U card. Where would I find the Resync Message Waiting option?

Stephen, the option is under "Tools" in the UC client. That causes UC to send a refresh message to all message waiting lights, assuming it's just a syncronization issue. Thanks
