ipmulticast

Jump to solution

Anyone know how to enable ipmulticast on the NV1544.  I am installing a linux cluster that requires ipmulticast.  The cluster nodes are timing out which implies that multicast is not working.

Thank you for asking this question in the support community.

The NetVanta 1544s do not support multicast routing or IGMP; therefore, any multicast traffic the unit receives will be broadcasted out all interfaces in the VLAN the broadcast was received.

This information can be found in the AOS feature matrix.  For assistance with selection of products for your network design and applications, please contact our applications engineers.
