Entire system failed, lost all IP programming. Could not default unit. Put another 7100 system in place and reprogrammed to get customer up and going.
With support help found trouble in startup config of old unit. Now at 5.X firmware.

frank6160,

4.03 is a pretty old code you may want to review the release notes for some of the newer version to see if this problem is addresses.  It sounds like some sort of a resource leak occurring if a reset clears the issue.

frank6160,

A4.12.00 release notes do mention a couple of issues associated with Analog calls not being connected however the description is a little vague so it may or may not be the exact same thing:

• On occasion, an analog trunk would not connect to a new call on another analog trunk if the digit actions

were used in auto attendant.

• Call coverage to an external number (incoming FXO, outgoing FXO) did not always succeed.

If you can share what the problem was in the startup-config of the old unit that would help other users too.

Re: Ring No Answer

Here what was found with help from tech support.

The primary system configuration was set to some random .biz file rather than startup-config. That meant the factory-default command wouldn't work properly
