I am an old telecom guy starting in 1988. 1988 to 1990 AT&T Network Systems 1990 to 1994 US Air Force – Desert Shield\Storm 1994 to 1998 AT&T\Lucent Technologies Network Systems\Federal Systems 1998 to 2003 Expanets Systems Consultant 2003 to 2004 Avaya Systems Consultant 2004 to Now HealthSouth Corporation. I work for HealthSouth Corp. With my background and skill set I work on just about anything dealing with communications with some exceptions. I do not work in the data networking group, but I do work closely with them. With the convergence of traditional telecom & IP I now find myself dealing with IP PBX’s routers & gateways. Technically I am Systems Engineer III. I do carrier work, telecom expense management work, RCDD design & spec work, PBX programming, design, Spec, & maintenance contracts. HealthSouth has 100 + hospitals and are building two to three more per year plus purchasing others. Anything to do with voice or cabling I am involved with. I think this gives a broad view of my responsibilities.
