    MX410 Terminal Server limitations?

    apc-montgomery New Member

FYI...I am having trouble with the terminal server off the 410 unit rejecting GUI connections.

I have found a work around by using an external terminal server off the ethernet port of the 410 to pass the data, but this is an overkill.

Not enough parameters in the software to tweak the terminal server settings at this time.

We only use TX,RX and ground for the RS232 terminal server interface. Is your GIU connection needing more connection leads on the RS232 interface? What parameter is your GUI connection looking for that we dont provide?

No special connections other than tx,rx, and ground. The same GUI interface will work on other terminal servers just fine. Its not a connection issue but seems to be a protocal issue whereby RAW TCP data will not pass or some other parameters that are blocking data. The mx410 terminal server menu tree does not options to edit these parameters so this was an FYI to anyone having the same issue in the future.
