Auto Attendant - Direct to an extension

Jump to solution

Is it possible to program this?  Thank you for calling Netvanta 7100.  If you know your parties extension, you may dial it at any time.
Instead of if you know your parties extension please press 3, then option to dial the extension.

This is possible by selecting Dial By Extension as a digit action and then marking the Include Initial Digit check box.  The caveat to this is the digit action selected needs to match your extension numbering plan. In the example shown below 2 is used, so it would only help for people dialing extensions starting with a 2 (ex: 2005).  If your extension numbering plan is not confined to a single leading digit, this may not be an option for you.  Instead they will need to press a digit action from the main menu to access the Dial By Extension feature, and then enter the extension (ex: 2, then 3005).
