Atlas 550 T1/PRI Connection and Port Mapping

Jump to solution

I am a new user, very new to this hardware.

I have read the manual but I need help getting "over the hump".

I have two 550 units I have connected back to back with a crossover T1 cable like this:

http://www.voip-info.org/storage/users/59/27059/images/2957/medium.png

I am communicating with both of them via terminal software.

However, I don't see any indication that they are communicating with each other over the T1.  Connect it or disconnect it, network OK light stays green.

My next step is to configure the octal E&M cards to go in one side and out the other.

The manual is unclear to me on that also.

If somebody can show me some baby steps to get these things working, I am sure it will all make much more sense.

For what you described, I believe you just need to follow this guide https://supportforums.adtran.com/docs/DOC-1397. I believe that it covers what you need.

Hope this helps,

Patrick

Well I got the T1 link up.  That was pretty basic.

Now working through how to get E&M ports from one unit to the other.  Application is basically a channel bank for the time being.

Thank you.  That is exactly what I needed.  I must have been entering the wrong search terms.
