vWLAN Version 3.0.1 firmware update- Does this update take care of the recent "KRACK attack" exploit? .
This new attack has only been out one month. And it is on the news as of yesterday. And it can make all wifi and bluetooth devices vunerable. Has adtran done anything on this yet?? This is a very BAD attack. It decrypts any WPA2 phrasekey and then, all packets and info is exposed to hackers. My company's Bluesocket wVLAN and 4 BSAP-1800 units are unprotected. Please let me know ASAP. Our products are out of warranty and I will have to buy PSVs for help. But I figure I would try here first. Thanks.
Version 3.0.1 does not resolve this issue. It will be resolved in an upcoming release. Please see ADTRAN WPA2 KRACK Attack Advisory (ADTSA-KRA1001 REV C) . I do not know if it will cover the BSAP-1800s at this time as they were End of Life as of June 31st, 2016.
