Message Waiting Issue

I'm having an issue with MWT not working on a 2500 set and a Astra M9316 set being served from an Adtran TA 900e. The MWI light does not light when messages are left.  Has anyone else come across this issue?'

Thanks

Re: Message Waiting Issue

Set the mwi to "neon" for the 2500 set, this should fix the Aastra as well.

Re: Message Waiting Issue

...thought to pik your brain....   I'm trying to come up with solutions (band-aids) to migrate existing M13-T1s and deliver to customers. customer currently has over 20 T1s at location. End equipment is Ethernet based. I was thinking to have all T1s at CO combined via M13, then deliver to customer via one 100M pipe (VLAN). Is this possible?

Re: Message Waiting Issue

Wow, talk about hijacking a thread! What does this have to do with message waiting? Probably best to start a new discussion.

What are the T1s being used for? If PRI or TDM-based services, the most logical would be to use a T3 and muxes at both ends to deliver up to 28 T1s. Otherwise, go straight Ethernet end-to-end. Really need more info as to the application to make a good decision.

Re: Message Waiting Issue

Sorry about the hijack… I’m trying to find a newer T1-mux solution, and avoiding mux at both ends. TDM is at one end, and I’m trying to deliver to near end via ethernet.

I will start a new discussion for all to read and share. Thank You.

Re: Message Waiting Issue

guys,

Not sure where this new thread is... but try looking at using Pseudowire...  for that DS1 transport problem.  Adtran MX4xx or bigger stuff is available through RAD
